Empower Your Birth & Beyond: A Two-Part Class
The Midwife and More Birth Class is an empowering two-part series offered monthly, thoughtfully designed to prepare expectant parents for both labor and the early days of newborn care.
Part One: Labor & Childbirth
This session covers what to expect during labor, including the stages of childbirth, when to go to the hospital or birth center, and how to advocate for your birth preferences. We explore a variety of comfort measures, natural pain relief techniques, breathing and relaxation exercises, and effective distraction methods. Partners and support persons are encouraged to attend and will learn valuable ways to provide emotional and physical support during labor.
Part Two: Postpartum & Newborn Care
This class focuses on what happens after the baby arrives. Topics include physical and emotional postpartum recovery, breastfeeding basics, bottle-feeding guidance, sleep tips, diapering, bathing, and understanding your baby’s cues and needs. We also offer resources for mental health support and building your village during the transition into parenthood.
Led by experienced midwives and educators, this class aims to reduce fear, build confidence, and help you feel fully supported every step of the way.
